We Are a Community

Oh, goodness me!
How can this be?
We are grown women
We are not ten
So, why so much hate?
If we know well how the world rotates

Don’t you see?
Every time you insult me
You hurt our own community
Because I am you and you are me
What we need is to stand together in unity
We are all daughters, sisters, mothers, lovers
As for me, I’m done letting others
try to drag me down
So then, I’ve earned my crown

In this world, we are all queens
Your ornament will be ready
When you’re willing to drive
Over the speedbump that is Enmity
And ready to see
that we are all women
Simply trying to survive
